The COROS PACE 4 Pro is the top of the PACE line, keeping the lightness while lifting battery and screen a notch. Released Sep 24, 2026, JPY 69,960 (tax included). 43 g with the nylon band, up to 60 hours of GPS in normal mode, a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen, and 32 GB of storage for maps.
The Shoe Nerd's top pick
The PACE 4 Pro is my top pick for runners who want a big, bright screen and maps on their wrist. The JPY 33,660 you add for the Pro buys 3 things: a big bright screen, 32 GB for maps, and a sapphire glass and titanium build. At 500 km a month, I don't want to charge a watch over and over, so I look at battery days first. GPS runs 60 hours, 19 hours longer than the PACE 4, so even a long race doesn't make you think about charging. If you mostly run road marathons, the PACE 4 is another way to go.
Key points
- From the PACE 4, GPS goes from 41 to 60 hours, about 46% more. Weight goes from 32 g to 43 g, about 34% more (with the nylon band)
- Price per 1 hours of battery is about JPY 1,166 for the Pro and about JPY 885 for the PACE 4. That's about 1.3 times higher
- If you want battery for the mountains, the APEX 4 46 mm is the first option: JPY 6,160 cheaper with 65 hours
When did the COROS PACE 4 Pro come out? The answer is 9/24, JPY 69,960
The COROS PACE 4 Pro is a watch that went on sale in Japan on Sep 24, 2026. It's JPY 69,960 (tax included) in White and Black. It weighs 43 g with the nylon band and lasts up to 60 hours of GPS in normal mode.
The earlier PACE 4 lasted up to 41 hours of GPS and cost JPY 36,300. Is there a race where that falls short? Is the screen and map worth JPY 33,660? In a line that sells on lightness, here is what changed. A table of 12 models compared by battery is in the article on choosing running watches by battery life.

RecommendedSee it on Rakuten IchibaHow is it different from the PACE 4? What changed from the last generation
The PACE 4 figures are from the official Japan product page. I add the formulas to get the gaps.
| Item | PACE 4 | PACE 4 Pro | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display | 1.2 inches | 1.47 inches | About 22% larger on the diagonal (1.47 ÷ 1.2) |
| GPS battery | Up to 41 hours | Up to 60 hours | +19 hours (about 46% more) |
| Everyday battery | Up to 19 days | Up to 21 days | +2 days |
| Weight (nylon) | 32g | 43g | +11 g (about 34% more) |
| Price | JPY 36,300 | JPY 69,960 | +JPY 33,660 (about 1.9 times) |
For the extra 19 hours, it got 11 g heavier. What you feel on the wrist is the larger screen. For anyone who chose it for lightness, this is the dividing line.
The screen is about 1.5 times larger by area (1.47 ÷ 1.2 raised to the power of 2 is about 1.50). The numbers you read while running get bigger, which helps when you look at a map. Storage is 32 GB, so you can load maps with road names, trail names, contour lines and POIs (landmark places) onto the watch.
Differences from the APEX 4 and Suunto Run 2: which to choose?
Scroll the table sideways →
| Watches | Weight | GPS battery | Price | Per 1 hour |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| COROS PACE 4 | 32g | 41 hours | JPY 36,300 | JPY 885 |
| COROS PACE 4 Pro | 43g | 60 hours | JPY 69,960 | JPY 1,166 |
| COROS APEX 4 (46mm) | 51g | 65 hours | From JPY 63,800 | JPY 982 |
On battery and price alone, the APEX 4 46 mm comes out ahead. It's JPY 6,160 cheaper than the Pro (69,960 − 63,800) with 5 more hours of battery (65 − 60). In return, it's 8 g heavier (51 − 43).
Pick the Pro if you don't want to give up lightness and want 60 hours and a big screen. For long runs in the mountains, the APEX 4; for mostly everyday runs, the PACE 4. If you widen it to other brands, the SUUNTO Run 2, with a 2,000-nit screen and maps, is also a candidate (SUUNTO Run 2 review).
What's good about the PACE 4 Pro
The best part is the combination of 43 g and 60 hours. It's light for a 60-hour watch, and you charge less around races. For comparison, the APEX 4 46 mm is 65 hours at 51 g.
Next, the sapphire glass and titanium bezel. It's a watch for the wrist, where scratches come easily, and it uses hard materials. On trails, where your arm tends to hit rocks and branches, this build helps.
Third, voice memos and call answering. You can leave notes by voice about what you notice while running. If your phone is connected, you can take calls too.
What to watch for with the PACE 4 Pro
The price is about 1.9 times that of the PACE 4 (69,960 ÷ 36,300). Per 1 hours of battery too, it rises from JPY 885 to JPY 1,166.
The weight also went up, from 32 g to 43 g, by 11 g. If you chose the PACE 4 for lightness, you won't wear this with the same feel.
One more thing: if you only run road marathons, you won't use up the extra 19 hours of battery. If you run a full marathon in 6 hours, even the PACE 4's 41 hours lasts 6 times or more (41 ÷ 6).
Who the PACE 4 Pro suits
- You want a light watch, and also want both a 60-hour battery and a big screen
- You load maps onto your watch to run unfamiliar roads and mountains
- You often run in strong sun and put screen brightness first
If you only run road marathons, the PACE 4's battery is enough. If you choose for 100-mile distances or for price per hour, the APEX 4 46 mm is a better fit.

| PACE 4 Pro | JPY 69,960 | JPY 83,900 |

The gap is JPY 33,660 (69,960 − 36,300). The choosing criterion is whether that gap is worth paying for 19 hours of battery plus the screen and map storage. If you don't run in the mountains, look at the PACE 4 first.
When you search on Rakuten, read "PACE 4 Pro" in the product name first. The PACE 4 shows up in the same search.
